Spring is here...or so we hope!

Daffodils are out and my hay-fever has begun...spring has definitely made an appearance. Will it continue into Easter?

Here's hoping so, I think we are all ready for that injection of warmer weather and lighter nights to get us re-motivated with health and fitness goals!

Well done to those of you who persevered through snow storms and ice to get to classes these past few weeks...your support was gratefully appreciated.

Speaking of perseverance in snow storms (or otherwise known as 'winners confetti') read on to find out how Mary Ann got on with her sponsored 5K run in aid of Macmillan last weekend. Also keep reading to find out about the latest Class Fitness events to get involved in and don't forget to note the dates of Easter closures!

Enjoy your class updates.....

Well Done Mary Ann - You nailed it!

Huge Congratulations to Mary Ann Cameron, a loyal Class Fitness member, for totally smashing her 5K run event on Saturday 17th March at Chester's Countess Park, Park Run.

Turning out on her birthday and braving the bitter cold and snow showers she kept her cool throughout and ran the 5K course, non-stop!

Keeping her going was the thought of her chosen charity, Macmillan, and the amazing work that they do.

Thanks to Mary Ann's determination and the generous support of her followers she has raised over £1,500!!!! What an amazing achievement.....we're so very proud of all that you have achieved.

If you too have a burning ambition to 'run' ...... maybe a 5K, 10K or your own personal goal distance then why not join us for Thursday am Run Club? We are there to support the novice or the more experienced runner, with no pressure of achieving goals in a set time frame like some other run courses. Take things at your own pace, amongst a group of really supportive ladies and reap the benefits like Mary Ann.

The group meets @ 9.30am every Thursday, at locations in and around Chester. Just £2 per session or free with Class Fitness memberships. Do get in touch for more details.

Holidays are upon us...

Easter (and perhaps my birthday!) is just around the corner and as such I will be taking a break from classes to spend some precious time with family and friends.

If you haven't already made a note of class closures please note:

There are 'no' classes week commencing 2nd April.

Week commencing 9th April again 'no' classes EXCEPT..... Zumba on Monday 9th at 6.30pm, St Columbas Church, Newton will go ahead with Deb!

All classes will resume fully again week commencing 16th April.

Here's hoping the weather stays warm and you can all get out and about whilst classes take a break.

On our return .......

Pilates courses will again be running from April to Mid -May and spaces are available.

Choose from Tuesday am, Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday evening classes.

Blocks of 6 sessions are £36 (due on the first session of the block) or discounted for Class Fitness members.

Regular attenders please get in touch to let me know whether you would like to continue in your usual class for next half term.

New folk...please get in touch to discuss your needs. Let's book you in for a FREE trial class and see whether pilates is for you!

VeraFlow

Unfortunately due to changes in the availability of a our Monday am venue, VeraFlow will not be returning to the timetable in the half term after Easter.

I will keep you informed of future courses in due course.

Classes making a return to Wirral / Rossett?

I often get asked whether there is the likelihood of classes returning to these areas in the near future. Usually I 'reply not at this time'...

However, I'm currently looking to roll-out more daytime classes of both Fitsteps and Pilates and wondered whether there might be an appetite for either/ both classes in these areas or others?

I'm particularly looking to put classes on Monday mornings and afternoons and Thursday afternoons.

If you (or even better a group of you) are interested in having me set up these classes in your area please do get in touch.

Monday Nights

As many of you are aware, it's our wonderfully enthusiastic Deb who delivers Zumba for us on a Monday night at St Columbas Church Hall (6.30 - 7.30pm).

I rock up to deliver weight management support and to get my own 'fix' of zumba love.

However, as numbers for weight management support in this class are low and to enable me to free up some time to support my son in GCSE revision, I am cancelling the weight management aspect of this class (6-6.30pm) after the Easter break and for the foreseeable future.

Debbie will continue to head up the Zumba 6.30-7.30pm with Gill in support.

Those of you affected by the withdrawal of weight loss support in this session please be advised that this is available in alternative classes throughout the week. Please check the timetable to see which alternate session is most convenient to you.

Please continue to show this class your full support and if you haven't tried it yet why not trial a FREE taster session with my compliments throughout April and May.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well that's about it for now. Hope to see you in classes this week, otherwise all good wishes for Easter to you and yours.

Always happy to hear from you, so do get in touch.

Di
